قائم مقام سازمان حفاظت از محیط زیست ایران گفته است ذرات معلق گرد و غبار امروز (سه شنبه ۲۶ اردیبهشت) وارد تهران شده است و هوای آن شهر در حال حاضر در شرایط هشدار قرار دارد.

به گزارش خبرگزاری ایرنا، علی محمد شاعری، قائم مقام سازمان حفاظت از محیط زیست، گفته است که طوفان شدید گرد و غبار در کشور عراق بخش های وسیعی از استان های نوار مرزی از خوزستان تا آذربایجان غربی، زنجان، کرمانشاه، کردستان و برخی از استان های شمال غربی ایران را تحت تاثیر قرار داده و در حال حاضر وارد تهران شده است.

در همین حال، گزارش ها حکایت از آن دارند که از صبح امروز هوای شهر کرمانشاه به شدت آلوده شده و وجود گرد و غبار بر فعالیت روزانه بسیاری از ادارات دولتی و مدارس تاثیر منفی گذاشته است. مدارس شهر کرمانشاه تعطیل شده اند.

درسال‌های اخیر پدیده افزایش گرد و غبار معلق در هوا، به شکل مقطعی در برخی مناطق ایران به ویژه شهرهای جنوبی و غربی سبب آلودگی شدید هوا و کاهش دید در این شهر‌ها شده بود، اما در دو سال گذشته این پدیده شدید‌تر و وسیع‌تر شده است.

به گفته کار‌شناسان، گسترش بیابان‌ها و بی‌توجهی به طرح‌های بیابان زدایی در کشورهای عراق، عربستان، اردن و سوریه یکی از دلایل این آلودگی‌ها است، اما بیشتر این گرد و غبار از بیابان‌های کشور همسایه غربی ایران، یعنی عراق وارد ایران می‌شود.
